Beautifully restored 15 year old Tata Sumo MUV [Video]

Tata launched its popular MUV Sumo on the market in 1994. It became popular among customers in a very short period of time. In three years, Tata was able to sell 1 lakh of Sumo units in the market. Over the years, competition has intensified in this segment and in 2019 Tata officially discontinued Sumo. There are still a few well-preserved examples of Sumo in the country. Here we have a video where a 15 year old Tata Sumo has been beautifully restored and modified both outside and inside.
The video was uploaded by Rohit Mehta Sai Auto Accessories to their YouTube channel. The video begins with the vlogger showing all the modifications and customizations made on this 15 year old Tata Sumo. Starting from the front, the MUV receives original headlights with ring-type DRL LEDs. The Sumo’s front bumper actually gets a glossy black finish. A set of fog lights is also installed on the bumper. The hood of this Sumo has black and red decals on it. Headlights are actually HID units instead of regular halogen bulbs.

As for the side profile, the original turn signals mounted on the side fender have been replaced with an aftermarket unit. This is a dual function LED light. The 15-inch wheels remain the same, but they now get dual-tone wheel caps that give it an alloy wheel look. The lower part of the door of this Sumo gets a black finish and a footrest has also been fitted. Just like on the hood, a red and black stripe has also been installed on the rear door.
As we move towards the rear the original taillights have been kept, but they now have a smokey effect. The vlogger also shows the spoiler on the rear. The main changes were made to the interior of this car. Starting with the door panels. The door panels are upholstered in two-tone leather and feature ambient lighting strips. The center console on the dashboard also receives an LED strip. The floor area also receives lighting.
Cloth Seas now receive premium beige and black seat covers. They also built an armrest console for the driver and faux wood inserts are also used in the center console. The entire cabin receives a beige and black treatment. Vlogger will then display the touchscreen infotainment screen that has been installed in the car. It has been carefully placed above the dashboard to achieve a floating type effect. It is an Android system that supports offline maps, video, and many other features. They also installed a set of speakers on the dashboard and in the back.
The Sumo’s steering also receives a two-tone steering wheel with a faux wood panel and leather upholstery. They also installed a central locking with a flip key for this. The windshields receive a transparent film with high heat rejection. The vlogger does not mention anything about the cost of this modification but, he does mention it, the package starts from a minimum of Rs 75,000 and goes up to Rs 1.25 lakh.
