Hellcat Redeye unleashes a surprise Bolt-On 9s attack on all types of drag “demons”

Although we have become accustomed to the very short videos of the Drag Racing and Car Stuff YouTube channel, this time around we’re treated to a quarter-mile longer racing festival. You know, like once a noticeably faster Ski-Doo snowmobile distracted our attention from some mundane confrontation between a Lexus GS F and the traditional S197 Ford Mustang or the exotic Mercedes-AMG GT rivals.
This time around it’s mostly a total American affair, as the feature has us completely focused on a dark blue Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye (with a neat yellow spoiler lip) as she seeks nighttime glory and quarter-mile diurnal in the company of a series of challengers (pun intended).
We should have said Demons, but let’s get rid of the disclaimer first. This Redeye offers a series of upgrades in the form of bolted parts, but the folks at DRACS unfortunately don’t give us details on the exact modifications.
They are more than enough, however, to give the Redeye the edge in just about any scenario. We’re not going to deprive anyone of the fun of seeing the smoke emissions, and subsequent wins from this particularly handsome (and intriguing) Redeye; instead, we’ll just give you an AND hint.
This Challenger can drop below the 10 second threshold all day and all night, but a few races also see it delivering excellent results of 9.35 and 9.36 seconds.
As for the enemies, it’s essentially an automobile festival of both modern and classic encounters. We identified a few demons, a Chevy Corvette Z06 (C7), a Charger apparently coming after a Fox Body ‘Stang, the traditional Ford Mustang S197, which looked like a blown Tri-Five, and even the bizarre GMC Typhoon, among others. . .
