India’s captains of industry pay tribute to Rahul Bajaj

CHENNAI: India’s captains of industry have paid tribute to Rahul Bajaj, former chairman of Bajaj Auto, who died aged 83 on Saturday. Among those paying tribute to him were CEOs close to him as well as other captains of the auto industry.
TVS Chairman Venu Srinivasan said, “Rahul Bajaj has crossed the Indian industrial landscape like a colossus. He was one of the few stars who created the Indian automotive industry. He was a pioneer who established a culture of quality and technology. in business and true to his principles. Rahul played key roles in industry bodies around the world like the World Economic Forum and CII and was highly respected. He will be greatly missed.
Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, tweeted, “I stand on the shoulders of giants. Thank you, Rahulbhai, for letting me climb on your broad shoulders, for advising, encouraging, encouraging me to be bold. Your footprints in the sand of Indian Affairs will never be extinguished.”
Ditto, RPG Group Leader Harsh Goenka: “The ‘backbone’ of Indian business cracks. A close friend of the family, he was a visionary, outspoken and highly respected for his value systems. An era was dawning. ended!”
