Pep Boys offers $ 100,000 in scholarships for automotive technicians
PHILADELPHIA – Icahn Enterprises LP, through its automotive service company Pep Boys, is offering $ 100,000 in scholarships to future automotive technicians in its Find your reader initiative.
Pep Boys plans to award five scholarships worth $ 10,000 each and 10 scholarships worth $ 5,000 each to âqualifiedâ students studying to become professional automotive technicians. The program coincides with Pep Boys’ centenary in 2021 and is linked to the company “Race until 2026“initiative, designed to recruit talented technicians in the automotive industry.
To be eligible for a scholarship, students must pursue an automotive technician degree or certification as part of a full or part-time college or business school program and meet certain academic requirements, provide a written essay or video and submit two letters of recommendation. , Said Pep Boys.

The $ 10,000 scholarships will go to students in major metropolitan areas: Houston, Los Angeles; Orlando, Florida; Philadelphia Cream; and Puerto Rico, said Pep Boys. The $ 5,000 scholarships will go to students from other regions. The amounts are more than double what Pep Boys awarded in 2020. The application window closes on May 21 at midnight EDT.
