Special Grand Theft Auto V Xbox Series X|S

For better or worse, few games can say they’ve seen two launches, let alone a third. But when you have such a massive player base as Grand Theft Auto V – which consistently ranks in the top five most played games every week on our Xbox Gameplay Chart – it’s no wonder Rockstar takes its time pulling it off. . We know GTA VI’s development is “well on its way” now, but there may be a considerable wait before we see it grace our screens, giving its almost nine-year-old predecessor another one the graphics and performance overhaul is a smart move by Rockstar.
Grand Theft Auto V for Xbox Series X|S offers a host of improvements over the Xbox One version, which you can see in action in the video above, courtesy of MrWilliamThor on YouTube. Rockstar gave the game three new graphics settings for the latest console generation:
- Loyalty mode: Xbox Series X supports 4K/30 fps with ray tracing enabled, and Xbox Series S supports 4K/30 upscaling without ray tracing.
- Performance Mode: Xbox Series X supports enhanced 4K/60fps and Xbox Series S supports 1080p/60fps.
- Performance RTs: This is a hybrid of the other two modes and allows the Xbox Series X to support 4K/60 upscaling with ray tracing enabled. The Xbox Series S does not support this mode, however.
Along with the new modes, players can expect faster loading times, thanks to technology from Xbox Series X|S consoles, as well as increased population, traffic, density, and variety of vegetation. Shadows, water reflections, and other elements now have improved lighting quality, explosions are more detailed, and improvements have been made to GTA V’s anti-aliasing and motion blur. There are plenty of other smaller upgrades and improvements, including the inclusion of 3D and HDR audio options.

While all upgrades are available in both single-player and GTA Online, it’s only the latter that has benefited from any new content. Rockstar has left the single-player portion of Grand Theft Auto V nearly untouched since its release in 2013, but GTA Online has benefited from over 40 updates, ensuring the game remains as popular as ever. By purchasing GTA V or GTA Online, you will have access to all current and future updates.
Returning players will see quite a few changes to GTA Online when it starts on Xbox Series X|S consoles; above all, the menu. Rockstar has redesigned the menu to give you easy access to the game’s most popular content like Heists, Free Mode, Races, and more. New players, or those of you who fancy re-starting your multiplayer exploits, will be able to access the all-new Career Builder. The goal here is to give everyone a quick way to get from the gutter to the Los Santos penthouses. There are four criminal careers to choose from – Executive, Sniper, Nightclub Owner, or Biker – along with a new property, powerful vehicle, weapons, and GTA$4,000,000.
For Gamers on Xbox Series X | S, you will have access to Hao’s Special Jobs, which allow you to upgrade certain vehicles with new modifications such as Acceleration Boosters and Chameleon Paint. Hao will also offer a number of vehicles for use on the test track each week alongside the other Los Santos Car Meet offerings. Hao’s Special Works is only available to users playing on Xbox Series X|S consoles, so unfortunately you won’t be able to indulge in mods on Xbox One.

If you dedicate a reasonable amount of time to your criminal exploits in GTA Online on Xbox One and want to continue your escapades on Xbox Series X or S, Rockstar has provided a way to migrate your profile. Please note: Migrating your Xbox One GTA Online profile to the Xbox Series X|S version will remove it from your account on the previous version! This is a one-time transfer and cannot be undone, so make sure you are completely finished playing the Xbox One version before loading into GTA Online for Xbox Series X|S, unless you want to start a new GTA Online profile. , of course — Xbox 360 profiles cannot be migrated. You will be prompted to migrate your GTA Online profile when logging into your Rockstar Social Club account on Xbox Series X|S. There are lucrative benefits to migrating your Xbox One GTA Online account to the Xbox Series X|S version. For our TA community, however, there is also the small problem that all achievements from Grand Theft Auto V (Xbox One) will carry over to the Grand Theft Auto V Achievements list for Xbox Series X|S because they are identical. Now, of course, the price will only really benefit gamers who want to play the game on Xbox Series X | S, so it’s not exactly a cheap way to increase your Gamerscore.
