Spoiled for choice with these modified Ford Raptor pickups
We have a hybrid pickup and two supercharged pickups, all with very different looks, and they are compared to a stock Raptor.
If you think a 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor can’t transform into something better, given that it’s packed with power, you’d be wrong.
The Fast Lane Truck YouTube channel brings not just one but three fantastic modified Raptors and compares them all to a stock machine for your benefit. Watch, learn, then decide…
PaxPower Raptors are beastly
The modified trucks are from PaxPower, and in the video, Andre compares three modified Ford Raptor trucks to a third-generation Ford F-150 Raptor.
The “stock” Ford Raptor is also changed a bit considering it’s headed to the Middle East and is fitted with 37-inch tires rather than factory-fitted 35-inches. The interior is as familiar as the ride, except the infotainment is in Arabic rather than English. The engine is stock, the twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost HIPO V6 making 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque.
From then on, André starts talking about conversion trucks, starting with a Ford F-150 Raptor with a gasoline/electric powertrain, like in a hybrid. It’s called PaxPower Platinum Edition and may look stock, but it’s not. Other than minor touches here and there, the truck mostly looks like what you’d drive at a dealership. With a hybrid powertrain running under that of the F-150, it rides very differently. The truck can shift into Eco mode and drive as quietly as any Tesla while producing 430 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque.
The other two F-150 pickups are supercharged
The other two Ford trucks look like Raptors but are different versions of a supercharged V8 F-150, the second having a wilder look than the first.
Andre switches to the white truck, an F-150 equipped with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8, developing 770 horsepower. It started life as a Lariat, but now comes with color-keyed bumpers and Raptor running lights and rolls on huge 37-inch racing tires. The ride is powerful and the acceleration is just as wicked as you’d expect, with luxurious interiors.
The third “Raptor” is a bit of an anomaly and is for those who like the way the Raptor rides, but not how it looks. This dark gray Ford F-150 looks like a new beast, still pumping out 770 horsepower from the 5.0-liter V8. So it’s a bit like having your cake and eating it too. It shows just how much PaxPower can customize the truck of your dreams. The truck has factory Fox suspension and drives like an absolute dream with a lot more luxury inside. So which one grabs your attention the most?
