Volkswagen Taigun-3 unique elements on Skoda Kushaq »MotorOctane
Skoda recently launched the Kushaq in India. A performance SUV with superb design and modern interiors. Now Volkswagen is preparing to launch the Taigun in India. Both the Kushaq and the Taigun are based on Skoda’s MQB-AO-IN platform. Although they are based on the same platform, Skoda and Volkswagen have done their best to make them stand out as individual products. Let’s see the three differences Taigun will have from the Kushaq in this Volkswagen Taigun vs Skoda Kushaq article.
What could Volkswagen Taigun share with Skoda Kushaq?
Although the Taigun is a sister model of the Kushaq. The Taigun’s design is more like that of an SUV due to its more square appearance. The side profile of the two cars is similar, the front and rear are very different. With one-piece headlamps, a two-slat chrome grille and chrome inserts on the lower part of the bumper, a straight hood and square headlights, the Taigun gives off a better presence on the road than the Kushaq. The Taigun also comes with 17 inch alloy rims, but the design of the alloys is different from that of the Kushaq.
Volkswagen Taigun vs Skoda Kushaq Digital Cockpit
The interiors of the Taigun are distinct from the Kushaq. The Taigun gets the understated nature of Volkswagen interiors. The Taigun has a digital cockpit, which is not available in the Kushaq. Digital cockpits are quickly becoming one of the must-have features because they are easy to understand and very customizable. It also gives the interior a more modern and futuristic look.

The Taigun will get a sportier variant in the form of the GT variant. The GT variant will not only be visually appealing, but will have a powerful engine in the form of a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Taigun GT variant can have a different suspension setup to make it even more fun to drive. Visually, the car will receive the GT badge and red brake calipers.
