Automatic remarketing recognizes the 2022 Women in Remarketing winners in the magazine’s May issue and will post Q&As with each of these outstanding leaders on the website.

Next up is Lindsey Creech, senior vice president of marketing and communications at ACERTUS.

Automotive Remarketing: What is the biggest trend you are seeing in automotive remarketing/wholesale this year?

Lindsey Creek: The future of automotive remarketing is impacted by a wave of disruption, innovation and emerging trends. Automotive retail has seen more change in the past three years than the previous 30, and the pace of that change has accelerated throughout the COVID-19 pandemic as dealerships have had to adapt. changes in purchasing behavior, shortages of inventory, increased demand, a difficult situation. the economy and growing customer expectations for speed and convenience. While there are many unknowns as to what the next few years hold, what is certain is that the delivery and curbside pickup trend is here to stay. More buying, selling, trading and testing will take place on the aisles and logistics will be a key differentiator for businesses that thrive and survive this new era of car buying. Logistics has proven to be a successful strategy and competitive advantage for major brands in the retail arena and it will only continue to spill over into automotive retail.

AR: What impact has technology/innovation had the most on your specific area of remarketing/wholesale?

Crib : Technology is at the forefront of everything we do. ACERTUS doesn’t just embrace technology, we have maintained a relentless focus on product development and innovation to deliver best-in-class technology solutions to meet the needs of automotive industry players. Long before the circumstances facing the industry today, we made the right investments to be a technology-driven automotive logistics provider.

This determination has paid off, especially in today’s reality as customers continue to overcome obstacles such as inventory shortages, capacity constraints, high consumer demand and rising fuel and fuel prices. stocks. With data-driven learning and execution, ACERTUS uses technology, data, and analytics to better serve customers and improve business performance.

In remarketing, our platform removes friction, improves velocity, simplifies and streamlines logistics that can be complicated, time-consuming and involve multiple partners. By instantly connecting shippers to our extensive network of carriers, drivers, storage and field locations and comprehensive title and registration processing capabilities across North America, we are opening up a more efficient way to get the job done, increasing speed and visibility, expanding the markets they can sell in, and helping execute a door-to-door delivery strategy.

AR: What career advice would you give to someone new to the industry?

Crib : When I had the opportunity to join ACERTUS in 2019, I was new to automotive and logistics. I had spent over a decade in communications and marketing, but focused primarily on the retail and entertainment industry. I have worked hard to educate myself and immerse myself in the industry so that I can have a profound impact and help drive our business forward. And in doing so, I developed a passion and affinity for the automotive industry. The automotive industry is small and there are many legacy players, so my advice to newcomers who want to make an impact and a breakthrough in this space is to be a sponge. Be intellectually curious about the industry; being relentlessly pushed to seek out and assimilate all the information you have; attend conferences, fairs and webinars; create links; learn from mentors, advisors and peers.

AR: What is your proudest moment/achievement, career-wise?

Crib : I am extremely proud of the work I have done to expand the ACERTUS brand presence, improve communications and advance our mission. I look back on each step and achievement with emotion, but I also look to the future with an insatiable appetite to keep raising the bar every day. As the organization grew and our marketing expanded, I was able to build and develop an incredible team of extremely talented and passionate people who joined this exciting journey to support me in these endeavours. orts. I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done together as a team and the true sense of camaraderie we share. I am also extremely proud to have the privilege and opportunity to be a woman in a leadership position.

My hard work and dedication has not only created a place for me as a female leader in a relatively male-dominated industry, but I am also actively working to empower, inspire and be a role model for other women in their careers. To be appointed to Automatic remarketing Women in Remarketing is a true badge of honor and recognition. I am honored to be nominated and selected alongside other incredible and talented female leaders in our industry.
